For Students

When can I find out about an Internship?
  • Check the timeline for the most up to date information about the internship schedule. Keep deadlines written down or set reminders
I didn't get an Internship. What can I do this summer to build my professional career?
  • Review the Creating Your Own Internship section.  Talk to your academic advisor about opportunities around you. Stay involved with national organizations. Keep your ears open for opportunities.
How can I stand out as an Internship applicant?
  • Highlight your unique skills and what you can bring to the institution. Be honest about your achievements; don't exaggerate your experiences. Review how to write a Resume/CV, Cover Letter, Interview Tips, and more in our student section.
Do I have to be a member of NACADA to sign up for an Internship?
  • Yes, the Internship Connection Service is a NACADA Member Benefit.  If you are not a current member, learn more about member benefits and how to join HERE.

For Institutions

When can I submit an Internship Opportunity?
  • Check the timeline for information on important dates, such as when an institution can post an Internship job opportunity. 
What are students looking for in an Internship opportunity?
  • When writing your Internship Opportunity for students, be sure to read our Managing Students section and make sure Interns can be included, welcomed, and have a great learning experience at your institution.
Do I have to be a NACADA member for my institution to participate?

The Internship Connection Service is a NACADA member benefit, therefore at least one member at the institution is required. However, this member does not have to be the contact or the supervisor for the internship. Learn more about member benefits and how to join HERE.
